Air India Pilot Drug Test: Phuket-Delhi Flight Fiasco के बाद 2 और पायलटों की जांच में नॉन-नेगेटिव रिजल्ट

Air India से जुड़ी एक बड़ी खबर सामने आई है। Phuket-Delhi flight incident के बाद शुरू किए गए mandatory psychoactive substance screening programme में दो और Air India Group pilots के preliminary drug tests नॉन-नेगेटिव आए हैं। हालांकि, इन दोनों मामलों में अभी final confirmation बाकी है और samples को confirmatory testing के लिए भेजा गया है। अंतिम रिपोर्ट आने तक दोनों pilots को flying duties से temporarily de-roster किया गया है।

यह testing campaign Air India Group द्वारा सभी pilots के लिए शुरू किया गया था। 13 अगस्त से लागू इस व्यापक screening programme का फैसला उस घटना के बाद लिया गया, जिसमें 4 अगस्त को Phuket से Delhi जा रही Air India flight AI2379 ने cruise के दौरान अचानक करीब 300 feet altitude खो दिया था। इस घटना में 24 passengers और crew members के घायल होने की रिपोर्ट सामने आई थी।

घटना के बाद flight के pilot-in-command के psychoactive substance test में marijuana की पुष्टि होने की खबर सामने आई थी। इसके बाद Air India ने अपने सभी pilots की one-time mandatory testing शुरू करने का निर्णय लिया। यह initiative Air India के साथ-साथ Air India Express के pilots पर भी लागू किया गया है।

ताजा screening में अब तक करीब 300 से 400 cockpit crew members का preliminary testing किया जा चुका है। दो pilots के non-negative results सामने आने के बाद उनके samples को आगे confirmatory laboratory testing के लिए भेजा गया है। इसलिए इन दोनों pilots के बारे में final निष्कर्ष confirmatory reports आने के बाद ही निकाला जाएगा।

यह घटनाक्रम aviation safety और pilot fitness को लेकर गंभीर सवालों के बीच सामने आया है। Air India की व्यापक drug screening का उद्देश्य pilots की fitness सुनिश्चित करना और यात्रियों की safety standards को मजबूत करना है। Phuket-Delhi incident की technical और operational जांच भी जारी है, जिसमें aircraft की hydraulic systems और flight controls से जुड़ी जानकारी की समीक्षा की जा रही है।
